Bespoke furniture company, Mirror Image, set to open first high street showroom in St John’s Street, Bury St Edmunds




A bespoke furniture company is set to open its first high street showroom.

Mirror Image, which specialises in fitted wardrobes, sliding wardrobes, home office and lounge furniture, will be opening at 2 St John’s Street, Bury St Edmunds.

The company, founded in 1985 and based in Norwich, said it is ‘very close’ to opening its new showroom - and felt that Bury St Edmunds is the ‘perfect location’.

The company said: “We are expecting to launch our very first high street showroom very soon.

“We have found what we think is the perfect location on St John’s Street in Bury St Edmunds and we’re excited to begin fitting out the new premises with our latest stock of fitted furniture and sliding wardrobe doors for visitors to the town to try out.

“Mirror Image already has a good reputation and solid customer base in Suffolk and we’ll be looking to expand on that with the opening of the high street showroom.

“Suffolk based customers interested in experiencing the quality of our products first hand will be able to do so much closer to home, once we open our doors.”

The company has been hand crafting made-to-measure furniture for bedrooms and home offices since 1985.

Mirror Image is a family business with a team of master carpenters.

It is based in Sweet Briar Industrial Estate Norwich, where it has a factory and showroom.

Since the mid-1980s, its has installed more than 20,000 bedrooms, wardrobes and home offices around East Anglia.

The company said: “This is the first time we have operated a high street location and we are looking forward to liaising with the additional passing trade offered by a central location.

“We’ve pencilled in a date in summer 2024 to be ready by - and we’ll reveal more precisely nearer the time.”

The company added: “In the meantime, you can still see and feel the smooth functioning of a selection of our wardrobes at our Norwich showroom.

“Our designers cover the whole of East Anglia and they are happy to visit your home and conduct a survey to assess your fitted furniture options or measure up for an exact quote.”
