MENTA opens new style of business workspace in Bury St Edmunds
The official opening of a new style of business hub took place yesterday with the ribbon cutting being overseen by the most recent member to sign up to utilise the new workspace.
Inc. is a new style of co-working and business space which is based in King’s Road, in Bury St Edmunds, aimed at freelancers and business people who are looking to work away from home and may now be choosing alternatives to the daily commute to work.
Alex Till, the CEO of MENTA business support, said: “Lockdown has obviously delayed our plans to open this space in the heart of Bury, but we have seen membership enquiries from January onwards and since Easter a further 20 members have signed up to use the new workspace.”
The honours of the official ribbon cutting ceremony went to the latest member, David Thorpe, who has his own business that offers bespoke business software and digital products.
As he cut the ribbon, David said: “This is a great place for me to make new business connections and escape home.”
David’s clients have included celebrity TV cook and writer Nigella Lawson and Crown Worldwid,e a multinational logistics company.
The official launch event was attended by local business people and members of the local media, all of whom adhered to the rule of six guidance to social distancing.
One attending guest, local businesswoman Emma Finn, said: “This is fantastic for the town centre and helps businesspeople collaborate, sparking ideas and leads as well as bringing business into the heart of the town.”
Inc. will be available to new members with 24/7 access, private working desk, and storage options available.
