Building blaze in Thrandeston Road, Mellis, near Eye sees nearly 10 vehicles dispatched





Nearly 10 fire crews attended a building blaze near a Suffolk town, where a detached barn was well alight.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called about the incident in Thrandeston Road, Mellis, near Eye, at 6.22pm yesterday to the fire in the roof space.

Seven vehicles were dispatched, with two subsequently sent back at the scene and crews stripped the roof tiles to gain access to the smouldering space.

Crews finished their work at the scene at about 8pm.
