Firefighters battled four acre field blaze in Wattisfield Road, Hinderclay

Firefighters battled a blaze in a field this afternoon.

Crews from Diss, Ixworth and two from Thetford were dispatched to the fire in four acres of stubble, off Wattisfield Road, Hinderclay, at 12.37pm.

Firefighters used hose reel jets to bring the blaze under control.

Crews are now damping down the area.

The incident was under control as of 1.15pm.
