Investigation launched after woman in her 60s found seriously injured on Mendlesham footpath
Police have launched an investigation after a woman in her 60s was found seriously injured on a village footpath last Monday.
Members of the public found Kay Crisp on the ground between Old Station Road and Glebe Way, in Mendlesham, at 8.15am on November 18.
She was found with serious facial injuries and attended hospital.
Police were called the following day to investigate how her injuries were sustained. They conducted inquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage.
Kay said: “It’s just a bit of a mystery at the moment. I’m just desperate for answers.
“I’m so grateful to the group of young girls who found me.”
It is believed the incident took place between 8.06am and 8.15am.
Officers are keen to speak to a man who was jogging in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the incident.
He is described as skinny with dark hair or a dark hat and was wearing a white vest top and white shorts.
Police would also like to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident or who has any information or anybody who was driving along Old Station Road and has relevant dash-cam footage.
