Woman taken to Ipswich Hospital after car ends up on its roof in Eye

A woman was taken to hospital after a car ended up on its roof in a field in Eye.

Police were called just before 4.50pm yesterday to reports of a single vehicle collision.

A Toyota Yaris was reported as overturned on its roof in a field off the B1077 Cranley Green Road.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist in removing the woman driver from the car and the vehicle was recovered by 7.45pm.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called to a road traffic collision on the B1077 in Eye just after 4.45pm yesterday [Tuesday 29 March].

"An ambulance and senior paramedic were sent to the scene and were assisted by colleagues from the fire and rescue service.

"An adult woman was transported to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
