Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance called to man injured in Thirlmere Court, Felixstowe
The air ambulance was called to a coastal town yesterday after a man was injured in an incident with a vehicle.
Pictures taken by Paul Day show the Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance landing on a patch of grass by Cumberland Close, in Felixstowe, at around 10am on Sunday.
The incident happened in nearby Thirlmere Court.
A road ambulance and the fire service were also in attendance, with crews helping to rescue a man trapped in the front seat of his car.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “One ambulance, one ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Thirlmere Court, Felixstowe, after reports of a man injured in an incident with a vehicle.
“One man was transported by road ambulance to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and care.”
The extent of the man’s injuries are not known.
