Cyclist suffers serious injuries after being hit by lorry on A14 slip road at Trimley St Martin

A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after having been hit by a lorry on an A14 slip road.

Police were called to the scene in Kirton Road, Trimley St Martin, at 10.45am this morning.

The cyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries.

Junction 59 of the A14 is currently closed in both directions and the closure is expected to remain in place until late this afternoon.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 98 of November 26.
