Suffolk Fire and Rescue at scene of individual trapped in dingy in River Deben, outside of The Ramsholt Arms, near Felixstowe

Emergency services have rescued an individual trapped in the middle of a river.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue were called at 5.05pm to an incident in the River Deben, outside of The Ramsholt Arms, near Felixstowe, where a person in a dingy had become stuck in the mud of the water.

The individual was trapped about 15 metres out into the river, but was not thought to be in any immediate danger.

The occupant was rescued by 6.49pm.
