A fire broke out in a crane’s control cabin 50 metres above ground at docks in Suffolk.
Firefighters were called to the Port of Felixstowe yesterday at about 9.30pm following reports of the fire.
The fire had started in the crane’s electrical junction box and five crews, including three from Ipswich East, one each from Felixstowe and Felixstowe Dock, attended.
However, a spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said the fire was already out when the firefighters arrived and the scene was under control by 10.10pm.
