Marco Pierre White to open Steakhouse Bar and Grill, Queens Head pub and Hotel Coco in Orwell Road, Felixstowe





One of the country’s most famous chefs is set to open two brand-new restaurant venues and a boutique hotel in a Suffolk seaside town.

Marco Pierre White has announced his company will be transforming The Brook Hotel in Orwell Road, Felixstowe, into a Steakhouse Bar & Grill and a pub based venture called The Queen’s Head.

The investment of more than £750,000, will also see the Best Western branded hotel turned into a boutique-style hotel, named Hotel Coco.

Once complete the new hotel, restaurant and pub are expected to start welcoming guests by early summer – creating 20 jobs.

Muralee Govindasamy, who has owned the hotel since 2002, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the plans for the hotel and restaurant.

“The investment will elevate the venue considerably and we’re absolutely delighted to have someone of Marco’s calibre open one of his restaurants in Felixstowe.

“This is great news for the town and is also fantastic news for the whole area.

“Alongside the new restaurant, the private dining areas and courtyard are being completely transformed to offer a superb dining experience within the hotel for both residents and non-residents alike.”
