Ryder-Davies and Partners vets practice opens doors in Garrison Lane, Felixstowe, after relocating from Queen’s Road
A new veterinary practice has opened its doors in a seaside town after construction on the site began more than a year ago.
Ryder-Davies and Partners was recently handed the keys to the new facility in Garrison Lane, Felixstowe, by contractors Seamans Building, after moving from Queen’s Road.
The practice, which officially opened last Monday, has brought up to 20 new jobs to the town.
The building features consultation and diagnosis rooms, imaging facilities and an on-site laboratory.
A dental theatre and a surgical suite as well as an on-site parking are also available.
Alison Wilkins, business manager at the firm, said: “It’s a very exciting time for us.
“To have a bespoke veterinary practice furnished with brand new equipment will be fantastic for our clients.”
The practice was established in 1973 and has sites in Woodbridge, Ipswich and Rendlesham.
The building was designed by Suffolk architects Hollins and work on the Garrison Lane site began last February by Thurston-based Seamans Building.
Partner Dr Joe Steventon added: “These new building will mean we can perform very high-level work here for our local patients.
“We have really expanded our facilities to be able to improve the patient care and provide a wonderful experience at the vets for all of our clients.
“This is the first time we have had a purpose-built building, it’s something we’ve never had before so it’s very exciting.
“We can’t wait to show people the incredible facilities we now have in Felixstowe.”
