New luxury care home Harbour Manor, in Bluebell Way, Felixstowe, officially opens with ribbon-cutting ceremony




A new state-of-the-art care home has officially opened in a seaside town with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Harbour Manor, in Bluebell Way, Felixstowe, was opened by the town mayor, Cllr Seamus Bennett, on Wednesday.

The brand-new 66-bed home is part of Danforth Care Homes, which created 60 jobs in the area.

Magda Kurdziel, home manager, said: “It’s a pleasure to be opening Harbour Manor care home officially to the public.

“The whole team are so excited to get started building a wonderful community here in Felixstowe, and providing a beautiful and safe place for vulnerable adults to live.”

The home features a range of communal spaces, hair and beauty salon, cinema with surround sound, a restaurant-style dining room, a library and a café,

Residents will also be able to enjoy food cooked by the on-site chef as well as 24-hour care and a personalised activity programme.
