Six crews attend fire at Port of Felixstowe

Firefighters attended a blaze at the Port of Felixstowe.

Six crews from Ipswich East, Felixstowe and Felixstowe Dock were called to the port at around 1pm.

The blaze, which is now under control, started in the motor room of a crane.

Firefighters used house reel jets and carbon dioxide extinguishers to tackle the fire.

The incident was dealt with within two and a half hours, at 2.26pm.
