Beach Street complex in Micklegate Road, Felixstowe, cancels Christmas market

A popular seaside venue has axed its upcoming Christmas event due to lack of traders.

The award-winning Beach Street complex in Micklegate Road, Felixstowe, has called off its Christmas Market due to take place on Thursday, December 7, between 2pm and 8pm.

Karen Stewart, organiser of the event and owner of Puzzle Boutique, said: “It wasn’t an easy decision to make.

“We didn’t have the enough vendors singing up for the event to make it the best market like we had previously.”

However, other Christmas events are still planned to take place at the venue.

The Christmas craft fair, organised by Manning’s Market and Shops, will take place on Saturday, December 9, starting at 10am.

The event will feature handmade Christmas gift, food and drink as well as children’s petting zoo and a chance to say hello to Santa.
