Half Moon pub, in Felixstowe, goes up for sale on Savills for £375,000

A Felixstowe pub with nearly 300 years of history has been put up for sale with a guide price of £375,000.

The Half Moon pub, in High Street, has been listed on the real estate company website, Savills.

Earlier this month, SuffolkNews reported Adnams, a Suffolk-based brewery which owns the pub, was working with current tenants to find a new custodian for the business.

Nick Attfield, director of hospitality and retail, said this may be with new tenants or could be a freehold sale.

He added this was dependant on finding the right people to ensure the future success of the pub for its operators and the community.

The two-storey detached building is now available as a freehold pub, with a ‘well-preserved’ garden area for approximately 102 customers.

The garden includes a children’s play area, boules courts and an outbuilding. There is also a car park to the side with space for about 20 vehicles.

According to the Savills advert, the 0.46-acre plot has potential for development, subject to obtaining the necessary consents.

The pub itself includes two bedrooms above the bar, along with an office, lounge area, kitchen and bathroom.

The Half Moon pub has been a fixture in the town since 1746.
