Suffolk Police warn not to approach robber who has absconded from Hollesley Bay prison
Police are appealing for help to locate a man who has absconded from Hollesley Bay prison - but warn not to approach him.
Jay Sharpley, 40, was reported as missing to police yesterday after absconding from prison at 6pm.
He is serving 8 years and 8 months for robbery, possession of imitation firearm with intent and in connection with the supply of class A drugs.
He is known to have links to Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Shrewsbury and Bournemouth.
He is described as white male, 6ft, medium build with brown hair and eyes.
He has a neck tattoo stating: The strong lead and the weak follow.
He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey basketball cap and blue jeans.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “If you have seen him or know the location of his whereabouts please do not approach him.”
