Felixstowe School closed after A14 crash sees staff unable to travel in




A school in Felixstowe has been closed today after a crash on the A14 sees staff unable to travel in.

In a post on its Facebook page and in an email to parents, Felixstowe School has said it 'does not have safe staffing numbers to remain open'.

The school has asked parents to email written permission to the member of staff responsible for their child's year to be able to send them home.

The post comes after a section of the A14 between Felixstowe and Ipswich has had to be closed after a crash.

Police were called 6.58am to a report of a two-vehicle collision eastbound near junction 58, Seven Hills and Kirton turn-off.

Three ground ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle, and two air ambulances from Essex and Hertfordshire attended the scene and a man has been left in a 'serious condition' after the crash.
