Seven fire crews called to Ferry Road in Felixstowe with footway cordoned off





Seven engines have been called to a roof fire at a single-storey building in a Suffolk town.

Crews were called to Ferry Road in Felixstowe at about 8.15am today.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said a footway had to be cordoned off and there were no injuries as the property was empty.

Two hose reel jets were used as well as a high pressure jet to put the blaze out.

Both Suffolk Police and the Environment Agency have been made aware of the incident.

Appliances at the scene stood down at 10.32am.
