Lewis Meadows, of Cliff Road, Felixstowe, pleads not guilty to causing death of Mary Kinsey by dangerous driving
A teeanger has denied causing the death of a 74-year-old woman by dangerous driving, with a trial date set for next year.
Lewis Meadows, 18, of Cliff Road, Felixstowe, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court this morning charged with causing the death of Mary Kinsey after the crash in Church Road on November 19.
He was also accused of aggravated vehicle taking, namely of a Nissan GTR, without the consent of the owner and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
Meadows pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Emergency services were called shortly after 2.30pm on November 19 to reports of a collision between a white Nissan GTR and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Ms Kinsey, of Felixstowe, was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, where she died.
Police, the ambulance service, East Anglian Air Ambulance and a paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) attended the incident.
Judge Martyn Levett, presiding, set a preliminary trial date for January 26, 2026.
It is expected the trial will take around seven days.
Matthew McNiff represented the defence and Wayne Cleaver represented the prosecution.
