Couple amazed after spotting hundreds of shells along metal fence on Old Felixstowe beach

Annette Colson-Lee and husband John were left amazed by the unusual sight during their Saturday stroll.

A metal fence along the beach was decorated with hundreds of shells, which have been stacked on top of the posts.

“It has certainly made things more pretty,” she said. “We thought what a nice thing that someone has done.

“It’s not the sort of thing you’d expect to see, but there were so many of them, which was what caught our attention.

“It made us smile.”
