Trailer released for Richard Curtis’ animated film ‘That Christmas’ set in fictional Suffolk town
The trailer for an upcoming animated Christmas film set in a fictional Suffolk town has been released.
‘That Christmas’ will be released on December 4 on Netflix and has been co-written by Richard Curtis who directed Love Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The animated film takes place in the fictional town of Wellington-on-Sea, which looks inspired by the likes of Felixstowe, Southwold, Lowestoft and Walberswick where Mr Curtis owns a country house.
Based on his popular trilogy of children's books, this is the screenwriter’s first venture into the world of animation and will feature music from Framlingham star Ed Sheeran with his festive track ‘Under The Tree’.
The film has been produced by Locksmith Animation and directed by Simon Otto who previously worked on the ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ films.
It will feature voice performances from Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw and Jodie Whittaker and follows a series of stories about family, friends, love and loneliness.
