Framlingham's Double Street reveals beautiful advent window display fund-raiser
Residents in Double Street have launched Framlingham’s dazzling advent windows display for charity.
The annual event, which will see window displays revealed every day, is raising money for the Salvation Army Food Bank and the Disasters Emergency Committee.
Organiser Gill Knight said: “The event is free, but we welcome donations and every penny of that goes to charity.
“We already have one or two exceptional displays, with many more still to be revealed.
“It brings children and families out, especially towards the end of the month, when they are all on show.
“Many hours of effort has gone in to a lot of the windows, and we even had one lady who is 88 and has arthritis, who has put together a great display as she really wanted to be involved.
“We’ll have collections on the street during the display, which will be there until January 3,” added the 70-year-old.
