Man arrested in Mitford Road, off of the A12 in Benhall, near Saxmundham, on suspicion of drug driving

A man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving near a town earlier this week.

Halesworth Police stopped a vehicle in Mitford Road, off of the A12 in Benhall, near Saxmundham, after the driver was seen to be using a mobile phone while driving at around 12.15pm on Monday.

Officers conducted a drug wipe which was found to be positive and the 35-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.

The man was later released under investigation pending further inquiries.
