Multiple fire crews battle barn blaze in Saxmundham with investigation launched

Multiple fire crews have been called to a barn blaze in a town and an investigation has been launched.

Two engines were called at 1.34pm today to the incident at Wood Farm off Church Hill in Saxmundham, before two more crews were requested for additional support.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the cause is unknown but an investigation will happen in due course.

The size of the fire measured 18m x 15m and two hose reel jets were used as well as a 1 x 45mm jet.

Crews remain at the scene damping down the area, with the incident now under control.
