Person taken to hospital after crash on A12 in Saxmundham

A person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on a major route in Suffolk.
Police were called at 4.43pm yesterday to a collision between two cars and oil on the carriageway of the A12 southbound at Saxmundham.
A person was trapped in a car and the road was fully closed southbound.
A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the person was handed over to the ambulance service and taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The route was reopened at 6.59pm.
