Halesworth police officers detain man in Saxmundham for breaching his immigration status
A man was detained by police this week in Suffolk on suspicion of breaching immigration laws.
He was arrested in Saxmundham, near Framlingham by officers from the Halesworth community policing team (CPT) came as a result of an operation being carried out in conjunction with immigration officials and other partners.
A spokesperson for Halesworth Police said: “This resulted in one male in Saxmundham being identified as arriving in the UK 48 hours before and officers found he was breaching his immigration conditions.
“Based on this he was detained by CPT officers and conveyed to Martlesham custody where Immigration officers then continued the investigation.
“Further visits were conducted in Leiston this week with Immigration officers present.”
