Sudbury woman to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court after fatal crash in Hadleigh’s Lady Lane

A 76-year-old woman will appear in court next month after a fatal crash in Hadleigh last year.

Officers were alerted to Lady Lane, at the crossroads with Aldham Road, The Green and Angel Street, shortly before 10am on June 22, 2022, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

The crash involved a blue Toyota Aygo and an orange Ford Ranger.

A passenger in the Toyota – a 76-year-old woman – was taken to Ipswich Hospital after the incident, where she died.

Another 76-year-old woman, from Sudbury, will appear before Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on July 6.

She will be formerly charged with causing death through dangerous driving.

Police continue to probe the incident.
