Firefighters save property in Groton, between Sudbury and Hadleigh, from flooding following heavy rainfall




Firefighters saved a property from flooding following heavy rainfall in the early hours.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called at 1.45am today to reports of flooding at a home in Groton, between Sudbury and Hadleigh.

On arrival, crews found two people surrounded by a large amount of water.

Engines from Sudbury, Hadleigh and Haverhill used pumps to divert the water and prevent it from entering the home.

The incident was dealt by 3.02am.
