Items totalling £30,000 stolen from remote location, in Semer near Hadleigh, including quad bikes, chainsaws and a mini tractor
A number of items totalling more than £30,000 were stolen from a remote location in Suffolk including quad bikes, chainsaws and a mini tractor.
The incident was at a location in Semer, near Hadleigh, at some time between October 5 at 9.30pm and October 6 at 5.30am.
A significant amount of items were stolen including two Honda petrol quad bikes, one Kawasaki petrol quad bike, two Husqvarna petrol chainsaws, one electric Stihl chainsaw and a Kubota mini tractor with a front loading bucket.
A wood splitter was also stolen from an open barn.
The total value of the items stolen is thought to be in the region of more than £30,000.
The culprits gained access by cutting a padlock to a large workshop within the grounds of a detached dwelling.
It is thought a large trailer or vehicle would have been needed to remove the stolen items and as such, it is very likely it was a planned burglary with those responsible having some prior knowledge of the items.
Officers ask anyone who heard or saw any suspicious activity during the times stated, or knows the whereabouts of any of the items stolen, to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/56852/24 via the website.
