The Angel Inn in Stoke-by-Nayland, near Hadleigh, awarded three AA Rosettes
A popular hotel noted for its ‘great food and soothing contemporary look’ is celebrating after being awarded three AA Rosettes.
The Angel Inn, in Stoke-by-Nayland, near Hadleigh, was recognised at the AA Rosette Awards spring update at RAK Ceramics’ Design Hub in London last night.
Holding three AA Rosettes places restaurants on a ‘pedestal of national recognition’, a spokeswoman for the AA said.
The hotel’s general manager, Richard Sunderland, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised with this award. It is a wonderful achievement.
“I am proud of the whole team at The Angel Inn who have all worked so hard to achieve the high level of recognition and prestige which comes from winning these awards.”
“We aim to deliver the highest standards of food and service and this award is welcome confirmation that we are doing just that.
“We use local ingredients and suppliers and take great pride in offering a very special dining experience to all our customers and guests.”
Regarding the hotel, an AA reviewer said: “Great food and soothing contemporary looks enhance a period setting deep in Constable country.”
The four-star hotel was one of 16 businesses awarded three rosettes.
La Dame de Pic London was handed four AA Rosettes.
Simon Numphud FIH, AA Media’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to celebrate and recognise the latest collection of outstanding restaurants.
“All deliver excellent culinary experiences where provenance, seasonality, flavour and great cooking take centre stage.
“Here’s to the remarkable chefs and front-of-house teams whose dedication has brought these accolades to life.”
Each winner also received a RAK porcelain AA plate.
