The Lindsey Rose pub, near Hadleigh, postpones free firework display due to bad weather
Another firework display in Suffolk will not go ahead this weekend as bad weather leads to its postponement.
The Lindsey Rose in The Tye, near Hadleigh, has taken to social media to announce the postponement of its firework nights party due to floodings that have hit the county.
The organisers said Storm Babet, and the forecasted Storm Ciaran, has left them with no other choice but to cancel the Saturday show.
The free event will now take place on November 25, with food, drink, fireworks, a bonfire and live music.
Charlie Buckle, owner of pub, said: “There’s absolutely no way we could cancel our fireworks event.
“We know that everyone looks forward to it, so we have decided to simply postpone it for a couple of weeks.”
This joins the list of other venues across the county that have also cancelled its firework displays.
On Monday, Undley Farm, near Lakenheath, said it will be cancelling its firework show due to forecasted weather conditions.
Heveningham Hall have also made the same announcement last Friday.
