Teenager arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after two-car crash in A1071 Hintlesham near Hadleigh

A teenage driver has been arrested following a crash which resulted in two people being taken to hospital.

Police were called to the two-car collision yesterday morning on the A1071 in Hintlesham, near Hadleigh.

A 19-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

The teenager was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.

The road was closed for multiple hours following the crash as oil spilt onto the road.

A man and a woman were taken to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment, however it is understood that their injuries were minor.
