A1071 crash near Hadleigh Heath, Hadleigh, sees three people suffer potentially life changing injuries and two four-year-old girls injured
Three people have suffered potentially life changing injuries and two four-year-old girls were also injured in a two-vehicle crash.
Police were called just before 4.30pm yesterday to a report that two vehicles had left the road on the A1071 following a collision near Hadleigh Heath, Hadleigh.
A black Peugeot 207 and a red Renault Clio had left the carriageway as a result of the incident and were on opposite sides of the road.
The driver and sole occupant of the Peugeot, a man in his 20s, suffered serious, potentially life changing, injuries.
The driver of the Renault, a man in his 70s, suffered serious and potentially life changing injuries.
His front passenger, a woman in her 30s, also suffered serious and potentially life changing injuries.
The back passengers, two four-year-old girls, suffered minor injuries.
All were taken to hospital for treatment.
The A1071 was closed in both directions to allow for recovery of the vehicles and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. It reopened at approximately 11.20pm
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, any motorists with dash cam footage who were driving in the area around the time of the incident and anybody who witnessed the manner of driving of the vehicles involved.
