A village’s first fun dog show and fayre has raised more than £500 for good causes.

The Summer Fayre and Fun Dog Show was held at Hundon Village Hall, in North Street, on Saturday.

Attendees were treated to craft stalls, an ice cream van, a raffle, a sweet stall, hair braiding and more.

The dog show was made up of eight events and pooches were also offered the chance to keep cool in a paddling pool.

The fayre raised money for the village hall and the dog show, organised by Flintastics Ltd, gathered funds for Jaybeth Animal Sanctuary, in Barnardiston.

Frankie Lancee, event organiser, was keen to see the event return next year.

“The event was really well attended for a village of this size and everyone seemed to have fun,” she said.

“This was the first outdoor event we’ve hosted as we normally do a fayre over the Christmas period.
