A143 in Barnardiston, near Haverhill, closed in both directions after car crashes into tree

A key route in Suffolk has been closed in both directions after a car collided with a tree.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the A143 at Barnardiston, near Haverhill, at 7.35am following reports of a crash.
Firefighters were needed to extract the driver from the vehicle and they have since been taken to hospital via ambulance.
At 11.23am, a police spokesperson said the road remained closed in both directions as it is an ongoing incident.
