Car ends up on its side after two-vehicle crash in Suffolk town

One motorist had a lucky escape when their car ended up on its side after a crash in Haverhill.

The incident, involving two vehicles, happened at the junction of the A143 and Cangle Road, close to the town Tesco store.

Police confirmed no-one was hurt in the morning incident.

Reader Chris Cullum took these pictures of the scene, at the bottom of Wratting Road.

An ambulance was called to the scene simply as a precaution and traffic built up while the police cleared the road - which is one of the main roads out of Haverhill towards Bury St Edmunds.
