Real Bodies Health and Fitness in Haverhill becomes only the second gym in Suffolk to instal an eGym
A Haverhill gym has invested thousands to install new technology for its clients.
The eGym offers personalised training to fitness users with equipment which adapts itself to each person’s profile.
The eGym is only the second one in Suffolk and has been installed at Real Bodies Health and Fitness in Hollands Road.
There are nine stations offering the facility whereby users are issued with an electronic membership card containing their fitness assessment. The machine reads this and adapts its resistance and position to the user’s needs.
The new equipment cost £100,000 to install and the new room renovation a further £40,000.
Co-owner Lee Button said: “We decided we wanted to deliver a better gym facility for members.
“This will build people’s confidence and eliminate any exercise barriers which they may have previously had.
“What this offers is an effective workout each and every time.”
The new machines also offer people the opportunity to update their fitness programme at the end of six weeks or earlier if appropriate.”
People can choose a range of memberships –the eGym, the main gym facility or exercise studio or a combination.
