ATM Steel attributes part of success to EpiCentre Haverhill where it was located for two years

A steel company has attributed part of its success to the service provided by The EpiCentre in Haverhill.

ATM Steel, which has grown into one of the UK's leading steel installation companies since it launched in 2011, had been located at the research park for two years.

The company has now outgrown its accommodation at The EpiCentre, but managers have praised the location for its expansion leg-up.

Charlie Mason, office manager, said: “We came to the Epicentre in April 2021, as we needed bigger office space and a better environment than where we had been previously.

"Our office staff grew as did our need for professional offices. The EpiCentre suited us for the space we needed there together with provision of the kitchen area and reception service. All these factors boosted staff moral and was exactly what we needed.

"The epicentre has been a fantastic space to have offices. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. I would recommend it to any growing business. ATM Steel would like to thank the EpiCentre for all it has had to offer over the past couple of years.

“We are moving into an industrial unit on Homefield Road in Haverhill as we are expanding our business and moving into the fabrication of steel.

"This is a natural progression for the business and something we have been looking to move into for years."

Andrew Bell, centre manager, said: "It’s great that ATM has found The EpiCentre ideal location for the expansion of its business.

"The whole ethos of Oxford Innovation Space that runs the centre is to provide flexible space for growing companies that allows them to expand as their business expands."

And Gary Jennings, innovation director, added: "Oxford Innovation takes it further. Our business support services provide a major incentive for companies taking space here.

"It provides support by offering services beyond the facilities and physical space, supporting small and medium sized businesses to scale and grow providing additional guidance, signposting connections and even going as far as providing 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring."

Amongst ATM Steel's many projects is the massive new warehouse for Skechers in Bury St Edmunds.
