Haverhill company MATCAS goes bust owing £50,000 with just £2.42 left in the bank




A Haverhill-based company has gone into liquidation owing more than £50,000.

MATCAS, registered at Weddell Road, Haverhill appointed Essex-based liquidators Cooper Young on July 19.

The company, started in 2016, lists its business as construction of commercial buildings and cleaning services

It moved its registered address from Romford to Haverhill in September 2018.

According to documents filed with Companies House the firm owes £50,758.58, with the largest creditor listed as Barclays Bank, at £50,000.

A spokesman from Cooper Young said the company had been negatively affected by poor economic trading conditions caused by the Covid-19 crisis.

Statements show available assets of £2.92.
