HMP Highpoint, near Haverhill, cell fire sees three crews called

Fire crews were called to a prison this morning after reports of a cell fire.

Three engines from Clare, Haverhill and Wickhambrook attended the incident at HMP Highpoint, in Stradishall, at around 6.30am.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the blaze had been extinguished by prison authorities.

The incident was closed at 7.39am.
