Haverhill Santa is out and about - find out where it will be and when

The new 'Haverhill Santa' had its first outing on Saturday, raising more than £350 for charity and welcoming on board its first young passenger.

The sleigh, built thanks to a collaboration between the Haverhill Show committee and Disco Kitchen, ventured onto Haverhill High Street, where it raised £377 for REACH Community Projects and the Joshua Tarrant Trust.

And the outing also saw Beau Plumb, six, from Withersfield, become the first child to sit on the sleigh.

Joe Mason, chairman of the Haverhill Show, said: "After all these months of planning it was great to see the sleigh being used by children and families.

"The volunteers from the Disco Kitchen and the Haverhill Show were thrilled to see so many people enjoying themselves and getting into the festive spirit.

"We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the donation total for the day.”
