Haverhill disqualified driver arrested on suspicion of various offences after failing to stop for police following reports of drug use in vehicle
A disqualified driver who failed to stop for police in Haverhill who had received reports of drug use in the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of several offences.
Officers said the motorist was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, excessive drugs after allegedly testing positive for cocaine and driving while disqualified.
They were also detained on suspicion of possession of class A and class B drugs, as well as having no insurance and failing to provide a blood sample after a positive roadside drug test.
A Haverhill police spokesperson said the vehicle was seized and the driver remains in police detention.
Of the driver, they said: "A very argumentative detainee who evidently has a clear disregard for the safety of others on the road."
