In today's nostalgia we transport back to 2012 when Haverhill Cricket Club announced that Lashings World XI had agreed to return to the town for another year.

Lashings (whose manager John Lever is pictured with Haverhill skipper Simon Youngs) were to play at Manor Road on August 9.

The match would also see the legendary broadcaster and BBC Test Match Special commentator Henry Blofeld (Blowers) turning out on the microphone.

When Lashings arrived in Haverhill it would be the sixth successive year in which they had done so.

Blowers would be reprising a commentary role he first undertook when they played at Manor Road in 2010.
