Driver who fled after a two-vehicle crash in Haverhill is wanted by police




Police are trying to locate the driver of a car that was taken without consent and then involved in a road collision.

Officers were called to at 11.20am on Saturday, May 22 to reports of a collision in Warren Court, Haverhill, between a Ford Focus and a Ford Ka.

Fire crews from Haverhill and Wickhambrook assisted the ambulance service with removing an individual from one of the vehicles.

The individual was left in the care of the ambulance service and crews, alongside police, made the vehicles and area safe.

The driver of the Focus fled the scene, while the driver of the Ka was checked over by ambulance. It is not believed that they sustained any serious injuries.

Suffolk Highways was also called to the scene to clear up an oil spill.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "The owner of the Focus reported that the car had been taken without their consent and enquiries to locate the person who was driving are ongoing."
