Aerial images show extent of change as new housing and A143 road layout takes shape on the edge of Haverhill
These awesome aerial images, taken using a DJi Mini 2 drone, show the newly-constructed roundabout connecting the A143 to the under-construction Boyton Place development on the edge of Haverhill, as well as the housing.
The images have been taken by Mike Brett, who goes by the handle of dji.droneguy on Instagram.
Mike, who happens to live on the Boyton Place estate, took the images that show how the 1,150 home development is coming along and has kindly allowed the Echo to use them.
The new roundabout layout was opened on Monday.
Its construction could only be completed after a 13-day closure - with a diversion in place- of the A143 at the point where it leaves Haverhill on the way to Bury St Edmunds.
Outline planning permission was granted for the 1,150 homes, plus a school, sports and community facilities, in March 2015.
Full planning approval has now been given for the first 241 homes to be built, plus the associated road infrastructure, with scores of the new houses now completed, sold and occupied.
