Two men suspected of stealing from numerous vehicles in Haverhill are bailed

Two men arrested in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles in Haverhill have been bailed while police enquiries continue.

Officers arrested two men from Haverhill, aged 48 and 51, on Wednesday May 11 in connection with the thefts

The arrests followed a string of incidents reported on the Chalkstone, Chimswell and Birds estates and in the Arrendene Road area over a month where items stolen included cash and clothing.

The pair were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on police bail until June 1.

Many thefts from vehicles are opportunist and police are reminding motorists to remove valuables from vehicles, ensure that they are locked and secure and to park in well-lit places where possible.
