Teenage girl sexually assaulted in Haverhill

A 14-year-old girl was left ‘distressed and shaken’ after being sexually assaulted in a Haverhll alleyway.

The assault took place on Monday, September 16 at about 5pm in the alleyway alongside the cemetery that comes out on to Withersfield Road next to Horace Eves Close.

A police spokesman said: “The young victim passed two males and both grabbed her inappropriately. The victim was unhurt but was distressed and shaken.

“Officers have been conducting reassurance patrols in the area and enquiries are continuing. No other similar incidents have been reported.
