Emergency services attend flooding incident at Raj Mahal restaurant and takeaway in Haverhill




Emergency services attended a flooding incident at a Haverhill restaurant last night.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to a three storey building, in High Street, at 5.36pm.

A spokesman said the ground floor Raj Mahal restaurant and takeaway was flooded by water from an above residential flat.

"The attending crew were able to isolate the water for the flat," he said.

"The incident was then left to the police."

It was dealt with by the fire service by 8.42pm.
