Suffolk firefighters at the scene of a blaze in Burton End, off the A1017, Haverhill

Firefighters are at the scene of a blaze in Haverhill.

Crews from Clare, Cambridge and Wickhambrook were called to the scene in Burton End, off the A1017, Haverhill.

A blaze, described as ‘well alight’, has spread across five acres of stubble and straw.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue service said the fire is being tackled with two hose reels and beaters.

The incident is ongoing.
